Random Friday Stuff

I wanted to post a few things that got sent out today in emails for all of you following along that are not officially in the challenge...

I had to post this picture of Caty on here, I thought it was so cute! She enjoys kickboxing, so I liked that her picture she sent was kickboxing related. Caty mentioned that she will be running a workout class on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 5:45 if anyone is interested. It will be in the Dallas area. Email me or Caty for more info!! Way to go Caty!


Here are a few more water tips from Laura S. I think these are great as well! Whatever works for you!! I love #2, a great way to make sure you do it!

1) I often can't drink water if I'm not thirsty - but I've found that if I eat nuts, even just one almond, that makes me thirsty enough to drink lots of water. So, I keep some mixed nuts around and I'll have just a few of them and I've found that I drink TONS that way.


2) It's obviously not a "rule" but for me, I've made myself a deal. If I drink at least half of the water goal (about 36 oz) then I'm ok, but if I drink under half then I have to use a cheat for that day. Because I cheated and didn't drink near enough water. I've found that if I can get that first liter down, then the second isn't such a big deal.


3) Drink water with your meal, but make sure to take sips after each bite. My husband will go all dinner without drinking and then down a glass of water at the end. By drinking throughout the meal, I'll easily drink 36 oz with dinner.


4) Also, I'm not sure the official stance on this - but if you're just not a water person, go buy some sugar free drink mix. Sometimes lemonade or raspberry tea can be easier to get down. There's no calories or sugar and you're still drinking the water.


5) When you're hungry, make yourself drink a glass of water first. I also make myself drink a glass before I'm allowed to have soda. If I still want it, fine, but often I don't want it anymore.

LET'S GEAR UP FOR THE WEEKEND!!! EVERYONE IS FEELING REALLY GOOD RIGHT NOW BUT WE NEED TO KEEP IT UP AS WE HEAD INTO WEEKEND. THE MAIN GOAL IS TO PLAN, PLAN, PLAN!!!! IF YOU PLAN, YOU WILL SUCCEED!!!!
