Many of you Beauties are traveling quite a bit and trust me, I KNOW how hard it is to eat well on the road. I have been really trying to come up with a list of things that you can get from fast food places that are "not too bad" and you can eat them without cheating. Now, I say this believing that you are sticking to the challenge 100%. If you are exercising, drinking your water, etc then these things will get you a meal without killing your hard efforts while you are on the road. Now, these are not good to eat everyday, however, they are good for one meal if you don't have a choice. This happens.
Here are some options....
1. Obviously Subway. The sandwiches, the baked chips, the soups, etc.
2. KFC-- the grilled chicken is awesome/mashed potatoes
3. McDonalds-- Grilled chicken sandwich is not too bad, but not great. Really there is not much at McD's that we can have without cheating.
4. Sonic-- Grilled chicken sandwich without mayo. If you take off the mayo it makes a big difference. Also, grilled cheese is decent if that is all you get.
5. Taco bell--pintos and cheese, rice, or one soft taco (the rest is AWFUL for calories!!)
6. Wendy's-- Chili (which is actually good with crackers), baked potato, ceasar salad is very low in calories
7. Chick-fil-a-- Now, here is the best news. All of chick-fil-a's food is fried in peanut oil, which is better than the regular stuff. If you have to eat out, choose chick-fil-a if you like it. Now, normally the nuggets would be a cheat because they are fried. However, I have researched this and there are several other things on the menu that are NOT a cheat, BUT they are way worse than the nuggets. So here is the deal. The grilled chicken sandwhich is the BEST option. The chicken noodle soup is a great option. The fruit cup is only 60 calories and it is awesome. IF you don't like those and you only like the nuggets, then their nuggets really are a good choice if you HAVE to eat out. THE 6 PIECE NUGGET, not 12. Like I said, they are fried in different oil and they are not going to kill you. HOWEVER, this is not something you want to eat every day.
Why am I telling you this?? Because many of you end up in a bind often because you have to eat out. I just want you to be aware of what you are eating and what your best options are. Many fast food places are almost 1000 calories just for ONE meal, that is crazy. But you can get nuggets and fruit cup for only 300 calories and that is not a bad option. If you can stay away from fast food then you will obviously see faster results, but if you have to do it at times then these are things you should look for.
