Usually between weeks 4-6 you hit a plateau, and the numbers show! This is where you have to stay strong even when you don't see the results. It will pick back up.
Meet Rachel! She is the one in the blue. She just ran a half marathon about a week ago. I love the verse she shared with the group this weekend!
Hebrews 12:1-2a -Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the CHAMPION who initiates and perfects our faith!
Meet Sandra! She shares some information on "waiting" on God. She explains how we should wait, and what to do when waiting....
So while you are waiting on God, what should you do?
1. Keep Praying - Prayer is not just telling God what we think he wants to hear, but being real, even if that means expressing your anger, fears, and hurts to him, like Hannah did. (I Samuel 1)
2. Obey God When He Speaks To You - God wants you to learn to trust him and he teaches you to have faith by asking you to do things that don't make logical sense, but that show that you truly trust him. For example, God told Noah to build an ark when it wasn't raining yet (Genesis 6) and asked Abraham to offer Isaac, his only son, after providing him as the fulfillment of God's promise that he would be the father of many nations. (Genesis 22)
3. Be Faithful in Serving God - Anna and Simeon waited years for the coming of Jesus, but kept serving in the temple until that was happened. (Luke 2:25-38)
4. Keep Believing God Despite the Circumstances - God is able even when things seem impossible (Ephesians 3:20)
